Director Shankar's upcoming film 2.0 is the cynosure of a lot of eyes right now and with hardly 10 days left for the film to hit theater screens, anticipators are getting their hands on everything possible on it pre-release.
While it is a known fact that 2.0, with its approximate budget of Rs. 550 crore ($75 million) is the country's most expensive film, a little known fact about the movie is that it is the only film from India to feature in the top 10 list of costliest non-English movies of the world.
2.0 is at No. 9 in the top 10 list of most expensive non- English films and is among the eight Asian films to be ranked on that list. This is a huge leap for Indian film rankings, for Thugs of Hindostan (Hindi) and Saaho (Telugu) which stand next to 2.0 budget-wise ($46 million) are at No. 28 position of the highly budgeted non-English films worldwide.
