Pongal 2019 Tamil Releases: Petta, Viswasam, LKG, among other films to fight it out!

It is going to be one major call for Tamil Nadu Film Producers' Council next Pongal, for films of A-list stars such as Petta (Rajinikanth), Viswasam (Ajith) and Vandha Rajavathaaan Varuven (Simbu) have announced to fight it out for theater screens during the said holiday.

Added to this, G.V. Prakash's Watchman, R.J. Balaji's LKG and TFPC President's own film Ayogya have also announced to be releasing during the same time.

Since Pongal 2019 falls between January 14 (Monday) and January 16 (Wednesday), the Friday preceding the holiday week i.e January 11, 2019 is the day these films would be ideally aiming to hit theater screens.

However, since none of them have announced a definitive release date, it remains to be seen how many of these movie would eventually release for Pongal.
