Ban for Vijay Deverakonda's NOTA?

If reports are anything to go by then, Vijay Deverakonda's debut Tamil film NOTA has landed in some trouble with only two days left for the release of the movie. Apparently a former member of the censor board named Jagadeeshwar Reddy has appealed to the Election Commission to stop the movie's release. He is said to have reasoned as follows:

"It is a custom for those who do not want to cast their votes for anyone to use NOTA. The film NOTA seems to be encouraging potential voters to exercise this practice of the non-voters. This is anti-democracy. If everyone registered in NOTA, then the election could become confusing.

Assembly elections will be held in Telangana soon. If people see this film, then people will want to use NOTA. Only after the Police DGP, Chief Secretary and officials watch the movie, should it be decided whether the film can be further screened in theatres."
