STR starrer Chekka Chivantha Vaanam which hit the screens today has opened to positive reviews from both audience and critics alike. The actor has started shooting for his next movie directed by Sundar C, which is a Tamil remake of Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi. The team also completed filming a song shoot in Georgia.

Catherine Tressa is set to pair up with Simbu for the first time. According to reports, Catherine Tresa has been roped in to play one of the leading ladies in the film. This is her second film with director Sundar C after Kalakalappu 2. Mega Akash of 'Enai Noki Payyum Thotta' fame has been roped in as the other female lead. Both the leading ladies are sharing the screen space with STR for the first time.

The team has wrapped the Georiga schedule and the team will begin the second schedule in Hyderabad next month. Reportedly Catherine Tresa will join the team for the shoot in Hyderabad. The untitled project is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The film reportedly will be a quickie and the makers are planning to release the film in January 2019 for Pongal or on Republic Day.
