Siva Karthikeyan starrer Seema Raja, one of the most expected films, hit the screens worldwide on September 13. The much-hyped film opened to mixed reviews from both audience and critics alike. The third outing from Siva Karthikeyan and director Ponram after 'Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam' and Rajini Murugan has failed to create a mark at the Box Office. The poor word of mouth has impacted the film's business to a great extent. 

The film has seen a decent run at the box-office in its second week. Seema Raja has minted minted Rs. 4.43 cr (11 days) in Chennai city. It has grabbed the second spot at the Chennai Box Office with Vikram starrer Saamy Square leading at the top. The film's estimated gross in TN for 11 days is around Rs. 39+ cr.
