After Diwali, Pongal is the next big festive season for the Tamil film industry. Two movies have already joined the Pongal race next year. Ajith's Viswasam and Vishal starrer Ayogya will be clashing at the Box Office for Pongal 2019.

The much awaited first look of Thala Ajith's Viswasam which was released in the wee hours today has taken social media by storm. The poster featuring Ajith in dual avatars has also confirmed that the film will be hitting the screens for Pongal 2019. Viswasam directed by Siruthai Siva marks the fourth collaboration of the director with Ajith after Veeram, Vedhalam and Vivegam. Nayanthara plays the leading lady. The film bankrolled by SathyaJyothi films has music by Imman. The film was earlier announced as Diwali release but the makers have now shifted the release to Pongal next year.

On the other hand, Vishal has also announced that his upcoming film Ayogya will be hitting the screens for Pongal 2019. Ayogya directed by AR Murugadoss's long time associate Venkat Mohan went on floors today after a formal pooja. Tollywood actress Rashi Khanna plays the leading lady. Sam CS scores the music. Vishal shared the news on his Twitter page.
