Director Shankar is currently busy with the VFX work of his most ambitious project 2.0 (2 Point 0). AR Rahman who has collaborated with Shankar in many projects including 2.0 has said that the ace director never compromises on the quality of his films. This is one of the reasons why 2.0 has been postponed several times earlier. The film release has been delayed due to the extensive VFX work involved in the film which is set to be released in 3D. The makers have announced that the film will hit the screens on November 29, 2018.
AR Rahman in a recent interview has praised director Shankar for his uncompromising attitude when it comes to quality to deliver his best. Rahman has revealed that Shankar has filmed one of the songs in the film without using any graphics work but was stunned by the way it has been pictured. Only director Shankar can come up with such concepts. He has also said that the entire climax scene will keep the audience awestruck.
The expectation for the film is already sky-high. Produced by Lyca Productions, the sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran has Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Riyaz Khan are also part of the cast.
