Prabhu Deva's film with A.C. Mugil titled Pon Manickavel

Actor / director / choreographer Prabhu Deva will be seen in a movie playing a police officer for the first time in his career and the title of this film has been revealed to be Pon Manickavel.

The movie is believed to be an out-and-out action entertainer set in Chennai and is based on a real-life incident. Kanden director A.C. Mugil is returning to Tamil films with this film and Mugil has earlier worked with Prabhu Deva as a writer in the latter's Bollywood directorials such as Action Jackson(2014), Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013) and Rowdy Rathore(2012).

The film will be produced by Nemichand Jhabak of Jhabak Movies, while an official announcement on the rest of the cast is still awaited from the team.
