As widely speculated earlier, Simran will be playing the leading lady opposite Superstar Rajinikanth in Karthik Subbaraj film. This is the first time Simran will be sharing the screen space with Rajinikanth. According to reports, Simran has joined the team in Dehradun and will begin shooting for her portions from today.

The untitled project went on floors last month. The team after wrapping a month long schedule in Darjeeling has now resumed the shoot for the second schedule of the film which is happening in Dehradun. Simran and Rajinikanth will be shooting for their portions in a set erected in a resort. The second schedule will last for 15 days. 

Vijay Sethupathi who reportedly plays the antagonist will also be joining the team in the second schedule to shoot for his portions. Bobby Simha, Megha Akash and Sanath Reddy play supporting cast. The film is produced by Sun Pictures. Anirudh is scoring the music and cinematographer Tirru is handling the camera.
