Shankar's sci-fi film '2.0’ is one of the most-awaited movies. The release of this mega-budgeted film, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles has been delayed due to extensive VFX work involved in the film. The makers, after multiple postponements of the film's release has finally announced the release date of the film today. The film is now officially slated to released on November 29, 2018. 

The movie is a sequel to the 2010 Tamil film 'Enthiran', and features Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti. The film also stars Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar but in a negative role. Akshay plays a scientist who turns into a bird-man after an experiment goes awry. Amy Jackson plays the female lead. Music is by AR Rahman
