Simbu recently wrapped the shoot of his upcoming film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam directed by Mani Ratnam. Simbu seems to be on a roll, as he has an interesting line-up of films in his kitty. According to reports, STR will be part of 4 new films this year. However an official confirmation is awaited on the same.

#1. STR34 - Vijay Productions

Simbu has been signed to play the lead role in Vijaya Productions next venture. Vijay Productions who had produced Ajith’s Veeram and Vijay’s Bairavaa will be producing Simbu's next untitled film. The actor has been offered a whopping salary for his role.

#2. STR35 – STR directorial

Simbu will be donning the directorial hat for this new project

#3. STR36 – VTV2 – Lyca Productions

STR reportedly will be replacing Madhavan in the VTV sequel. He will be teaming up with Gautham Menon for Vinnaithaandi Varuvein (VTV2). AR Rahman will be scoring the music. Lyca Productions will be bankrolling the project.

Simbu will essay the role of Karthik from VTV and the film starts with the life of Karthik as a successful director over the years.

#4. STR37 – Kalaipuli S Thanu

STR will also be part of project that will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu's V Creations.
