Naragasooran: Arvind Swami just took a side in the Gautham Menon Vs Karthick Naren spat

Looks like director-producer Gautham Vasudev Menon is being spared by no one today. After the very public dissing of each other directors Karthick Naren and Menon indulged in over the release of Naragasooran, Menon faced the heat over the release of Selvaraghavan's yet unreleased Nenjam Marapathillai. Now, actor Arvind Swami who plays the lead in Naragasooran is the latest one to take an indirect pot-shot at the VTV director for his tweets on Karthick Naren.

It is worth mentioning here that Karthick Naren alleged that the payment of many including Arvind Swami was pending for Naragasooran and even though Arvind Swami had offered to dub for the film, Karthick Naren didn't want him to until his dues were settled. Gautham Menon accepted this part and has said that this issue will be taken care of when the time is right.

However, in a latest statement to a media outlet, Gautham Menon has rubbished that he has invested only Rs. 5 lakh in the movie. Further the director has added that the 'misunderstanding' between Karthick and him have been brought about by vested interests and that he has sorted it out with Karthick since then. He was quoted as saying,

"My team got the project and got the investors to invest..We got the money organised from people who trusted us and agreed for us to be producers. I’m answerable for what’s been spent and not Karthik... Karthik is free to move on and work on his next, which he is doing. And this in no way will affect him. If the claim is that we have invested only `5 lakh, even that is big money and I’m answerable for that, and for the `9 crore. All the money being discussed will be cleared and settled when the business of the film is done very soon."
