Thalapathy 62: Vijay to sing for A.R. Rahman?

 

If reports are anything to go by, then actor Vijay is all set to croon under A.R. Rahman's music for Thalapathy 62 (working title). Though Vijay and the composer have worked previously in Udaya (2003), Azhagiya Tamizh Magan (2007) and Mersal (2017), this will be the first time Vijay will be seen singing for the Oscar winning composer. However, there has been no official confirmation on the same as yet.
 
Thalapathy 62 bore the brunt of several disgruntled industry folks recently over 'special permission' given for the film's shoot amidst the TFPC strike. The team has so far wrapped 40% of shooting and is expected to hit theatre screens for Diwali this year. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures, Thalapathy 62 has Keerthy Suresh playing female lead with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar donning a pivotal role.
