Tamil Celebrities react to Thalapathy 62's active shoot despite Kollywood strike

The topic of Thalapathy 62 shooting amidst the film industry-wide strike has been the hot topic of discussion since yesterday and despite statements from the TFPC's side, industry insiders do not seem convinced with the preferential treatment given towards some films, especially Vijay's film since it's the only one shooting at Chennai (All films shooting outside Chennai by default have extension till March 21, 2018). Two films - Nadodigal 2 and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, shooting outside the city have gotten extensions post March 21 as well and Tamil film celebrities have starting expressing their disappointment openly on these selective permissions. A look into what some of them said:

R. Sarath Kumar (as quoted by The Hindu) “Only after people found out that the shooting of certain films is going on and started talking about it on Twitter and Facebook did the TFPC come up with an explanation. What they should have said is that they are going on a strike from March 16 and these four people have been given permission to continue their shooting and that if others have a valid reason, they can also get permission,”

Director Manobala (in a latest interview) If Vijay sir is giving his dates next month, for the film, and they ask the stunt masters to come back, obviously the masters are going to come. Why can't they do that? Allowing Naadodigal 2 shoot is acceptable since Samuthirakani asked for just one-day extension so that the entire schedule can be completed...But, for Vijay 62, more than 3 months of shooting is still left, so why can't they wait? Director Kannan (Jayam Kondan fame), requested TFPC to allow him to shoot his film Boomerang since the whole schedule was planned during the strike's dates... but they (TFPC) were not ears for that..Now, they allow these films...

Exceutive Producer who was planning to shoot with a heroine in the Jungles (as quoted by The Hindu) “I was planning to shoot my film from the last week of March but gave up the idea. But, now, we hear that special permissions were given to a few films. If we were told this was possible, even we would have asked to be exempted,”

It is worth mentioning here that the shooting of Thalapathy 62 is all set to wrap tomorrow as it is said that the TFPC had granted permission till March 22, 2018.
