National award winning cinematographer for Rajinikanth's film with Sun Pictures?

 

Sun Pictures' film with Superstar Rajinikanth and director Karthik Subbaraj had a major addition in the form of composer Anirudh and the same was announced earlier today. Industry murmurs also tell us that when Sun Pictures first decided to go about the film, they had two cinematographers in mind - Santhosh Sivan and Tirru. As the former is currently engaged with Mani Ratnam for Chekka Chivandha Vaanam, sources add that the latter has been finalised for this upcoming Rajinikanth film. It is worth mentioning here that Tirru has worked with Karthik Subbaraj in his silent film Mercury which is expected to hit theatre screens for Tamil New year.
  
Cinematographer Tirru coming on board has however not been officially announced and when contacted, he was unavailable for a comment. The National award winning cinematographer is currently associated with Mahesh Babu's Bharath Ane Nenu in Telugu and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Fanne Khan in Hindi.
