Director Bala's upcoming Naachiyaar has quite a few surprising aspects to its credit. The runtime of the film is a very crisp 100 mins, which is a revelation. The film would have just 1 song, a love track composed by Ilayaraja with GV Prakash being one of the singers. Added to this, 3 producers from the Tamil film industry namely Rockline Venkatesh, GKM Tamil Kumaran (Endrendum Punnagai) and Dharani Vasudevan (Rendavathu Padam) have acted in the movie. 

The film is said to be a thriller revolving around 3 main characters - GV Prakash, Jyothika and newcomer Ivana (who is said to have given a tremendous performance). The climax would also reportedly be positive, contrary to the usually violent and gruesome Bala climaxes.

Ilayaraja has apparently appreciated GV Prakash for his performance in the film, while working on the background score. Naachiyaar will supposedly show a very new GV Prakash with none of his usual reactions and mannerisms. The film will release coming Friday, Feb 16.
