The first look of Studio Green's upcoming venture Gajinikanth was unveiled by actor Suriya on his social media page. The first look seemed like an ode to Rajinikanth's character from Dharmathin Thalaivan as it had actor Arya dressed like "Balu" (the absent-minded lecturer Rajinikanth played) in the movie from 1988. Also, the poster was released marking the occasion of the Super-star's birthday.
 
Gajinikanth also has Sayyeshaa play female lead and will be directed by Santhosh P Jayakumar of Hara Hara Mahadevaki fame. Touted to be a family entertainer, the movie is Studio Green's 12th production venture and their first with Arya. The film also marks the debut on-screen pairing of the Kadamban actor and the Vanamagan actress.
