Thiruttu Payalae 2 trailer director's cut : Here's what is revealed
Director Susi Ganesan's comeback film Thiruttu Payalae 2 had a trailer release last week (With 1 million views and counting) and unlike some of its counterparts, it gave away nothing about the plot-line. So today when the director's cut (a version that reflects the director's original intentions) trailer of the Bobby Simha-Amala Paul-Prasanna starrer was released, we couldn't help but be surprised. For starters, a director's cut trailer has never been released in Kollywood before so Thiruttu Payalae 2 would be first of its kind.
Secondly, the director's cut reveals these following details which were not shown in the previous trailer :
- Susi Ganesan has reprised his role as the detective in Thiruttu Payale 2. (Also, the director seems to have hit some kind of an age-pause as he looks just the same as his 2006's venture in front of the camera)
- Bobby Simha who was shown as an honest police officer with a suspicious streak about him, is confirmed as the "bad guy" along with Prasanna in the director's cut.
In conclusion, we couldn't make much of the story-line even now but are convinced that we can expect nothing less of a neo-noir crime thriller from this U/A certified film. Produced by AGS Entertainment, Thiruttu Payalae 2 hits theatre screens on November 30, 2017 and has music by Vidya Sagar. And with the producer clarifying that Thiruttu Payalae 2 is not an "erotic-thriller" like its prequel and that it comes with a subtle message of "how not to get trapped by social-media", the interest around the film's story increases even more.
