The making of 2.0 - A Closer Look.

The making video of Shankar's 2.0 was released a couple of hours back; here is our closer look at what the glimpse had in it & why we call it a jaw dropping experience.

1. Rajini and the robots:

Superstar Rajinikanth is back as the 'French beard sporting' scientist Dr.Vaseegaran and robot Chitti. Just the glimpse of the numerous Chitti robots and the way it moves, is so exciting. And true to the title, there is an evil Chitti 2.0 here as well.

2. Menacing villain Akshay:

Akshay Kumar is apparently menacing as the evil 'Crowman'.

3. Orchestral Score of ARR :

The video features a superb orchestral score by A.R.Rahman, with a potent mix of 'Irumbile' and 'Arima' from the first part.

4. Production grandeur:

The grand sets erected by art director Muthuraj at EVP World in Chennai's outskirts and the larger than life action sequence shot at the Nehru Stadium in New Delhi are prominently showcased in this video.

5. Heavy VFX:

The dominance of green mat, blue mat shots is obvious, given the VFX-heavy nature of the film.

6. Fast rolling camera & promising action blocks :

DoP Nirav Shah has apparently done a lot of moving with his camera set-up to capture all the action that Shankar has conjured. The spectacular action blocks, explosions with the cars toppling, the usage of defence tanks... one can just go on and on

7. Extreme hard work:

Both Rajini (at his age) and Akshay must be appreciated for their patience and dedication in sitting through gruelling make-up sessions, look tests and other preparations, trials.

8. Amy Jackson - the super heroine:

Amy Jackson gets to do her set of action too, apart from being her sexy self. Her figure hugging costumes will surely be spoken about.
