3 Reasons why you should watch Sivaji 3D on Big Screen

AVM has been working on 3D conversion since beginning of this year with the help of Prasad EFX and recently announced the release date of 12-12-12. The timing of release coincided with Sathyam becoming the first cinema exhibitor in India to introduce the Dolby Atmos, the ground breaking audio technology. A special Sivaji 3D screening was arranged for press at Sathyam Serene yesterday. The word out on the street is that there are 3 good reasons to watch Sivaji 3d in big screen and relive the excitement all over again.

Reason 1 - 3D Conversion in 4K Resolution

Sivaji was the first movie in India to be shot in 4K resolution. This level of resolution was adopted way ahead of time and it is now coming in handy 5 years later. Those who have seen the sneak preview of songs were blown away by the level of clarity and aesthetic use of 3D. Shankar claimed that the 3D conversion is much better than the ones he had seen for Hollywood movies. Shankar gave credit to KV Anand for his multi-layered photography and would make one believe that the movie was actually shot for 3D viewing. KV Anand highlighted the painstaking level of set details by Thotta Tharani for "Vaaji" song and "Sahana". Vairamuthu said he is able to understand more meaning from his songs after watching it in 3D.

Reason 2 - Dolby ATMOS

Audiophiles have reasons to be excited about Sivaji 3D. The Atmos sound system can handle up to 128 audio tracks and up to 64 speakers controlled independently. The sound effect traverses across the hall to fit nicely with the 3D visuals. The rich layers of music done by Oscar winner AR Rahman have come out crystal clear with this world's most advanced sound system. For example, the scene where Rajinikanth flips the coin during the pre-interval scene got a loud applause for its natural, realistic sound made possible by ATMOS.

Reason 3 - Watching Rajini on 12-12-12 in a crisply-edited version

With a number of scenes in the first half removed, Sivaji 3D is expected to be crisp and racy from start to finish. Shankar said Rajini is looking stylish and handsome in 3D. Watching Rajini on big screen along with the wildly cheering fans on his birthday is expected to heighten the viewing experience. The movie altogether is expected to give a whole new experience with most advanced audio, visuals and tighter storyline.

Sivaji 3D Screeening

65 screens in Tamil Nadu are ready to screen Sivaji 3D and only Sathyam Serene has Dolby Atmos. As soon as online booking opens, Sathyam's Serene in Chennai is expected to be booked out for weeks ahead. Don't be surprised if Sivaji nibbles into Kumki and Neethane En Ponvasantham's opening week collections due to the tremendous hype surrounding its re-release.
