Sivaji 3D on Superstar's Birthday

AVM has decided to release Rajinikanth's blockbuster Sivaji 3D version on 12-12-12 coinciding with Superstar's birthday. Sivaji directed by Shankar stormed the box office in 2007, shattered many box office records and opened new markets for Tamil films. Music by A.R. Rahman and it was the last movie KV Anand worked as a cinematographer before turning to direction. 

Sivaji 3D pre-release Buzz is Excellent

Even though Sivaji is a re-release, the talk in the industry is that Sivaji 3D is expected to have come out extremely well and could give the new movies releasing that week a jolt. After removing almost 30 minutes, the movie is expected to be crisp and engaging from start to finish.

Deleted Scene Details

The 3D version has been trimmed by almost 30 minutes and will have a running time of only 137 minutes. Following are the details of scenes deleted/ edited, mostly in the first half.

• Removed many Rajni wooing Shriya portions

• Rajni and Solomon Papaiya "Pazhaga Vaanga" scenes

• Removed almost all "Angavai Sangavai" Scenes

• Lengthy fight scene with Kanal Kannan in Music shop fully removed

• Second half fight scenes (drive-in car fights) also trimmed
