Most Hated Movie -- Thuppakki or Maattrraan?

Most hated Tamil upcoming movie -- Thuppakki or Maattrraan?

Even though media has been portraying an image of Thuppakki and Maattrraan as arch enemies with bitter rivarly between fans, the truth is far from it. There are cast and crew members working in both these movies who naturally want both these movies to succeed. The reality is that there are anti-elements and negative forces working against Thuppakki and Maattrraan in their own backyards. Read more for the shocking revelations by a popular film journalist working at a leading Tamil magazine,

Anti-Forces against Thuppakki

  • Kallathuppaki Title Row - The biggest problem facing Thuppakki currently is the title row with interim court stay order extended for the third time till August 1st. The makers of Kalla-Thuppakki are not budging at all nor ready for any kind of compromise with Thuppakki's producers. This has indefinitely postponed Thuppakki's plan to launch the first look teaser and poster since the "Thuppakki" title cannot be used in any promos until the judgment is passed in the court.

  • SAC political opponents - Vijay's father SA Chandrashekar earned a lot of ill-will during his tenure as head of Producer council. Thuppakki shooting was stalled a number of times in the past which has led to wasting of Kajal Aggarwal's dates. Another controversial person in the industry is Kalaipuli Thaanu who has enough foes working against Thuppakki from various angles.

Since Thuppakki's matter is undergoing legal proceedings, we are not unable to comment or discuss the shocking background details revealed by this eminent film journalist.

Anti-Forces against Maattrraan

The conspiracy behind Maattrraan may be even more shocking than Thuppakki. The challenges for Maatraan are emerging from different groups -- industry insiders, PROs and media community

  • Charulatha -  This movie was started only a few months ago knowing very well that Suriya is acting as conjoined twins in Maatraan. If you trace the history, the director of Charulatha has had long series of problems with Suriya since Aadhavan days when the former was an Asst. Director to KS Ravikumar. It is natural to expect Charulatha seeking free publicity by creating controversies pitching Charulatha against Maattrraan. There are striking similarities between Kalla-Thuppakki and Charulatha in their intentions and motivations, claims this prominent journalist who is close to this matter.

  • PRO Wars - The scheming PRO of Charulatha, Nikil, has bad blood against Suriya and his PRO, Johnson. The battleground for this long running ugly fights between these parties have now shifted to Maattrraan and there are no points for guessing who is paying the price.

  • Popular Tamil weekly Kumudam has also recently joined this bandwagon in bashing Maattraan. The latest issue of Kumudam carries a scathing 3-page article written with a lot of vengeance portraying Maattrraan as an evil monster killing small movies(i.e., Charulatha). The well known journalist revealed that the real reason for Kumudam's anger is because they did not get the Maattrraan first look photos ahead of Vikatan. It is not clear why Kumudam called Maatraan as bringing bad reputation for Tamil Industry based on the one-minute teaser. Of course, Kumudam being loyal to their instigators didn't fail to sing praises about Charulatha

Bipolar Nature of Traditional Media

If an actor or director doesn't give interviews or exclusive pictures, it is very common practice among these leading Tamil journals to expose their bipolar behavior showing the other face of a "manja pathrikai", so they get favourable treatment in the future. (e.g., one such scathing attack was recently launched against a powerful personality like Rajinikanth and his family)

Conclusion : Based on all the above tough challenges and anti-elements working against Vijay's Thuppakki and Suriya's Maattrraan, it is a very close call to figure out which one of the two movies is the most hated movie of 2012.
