Will Vishwaroopam open new doors for Kamal?

Vishwaroopam has been Kamal Haasan's most ambitious project till date. Ulaganayagan has been spending a lot of time in Los Angeles, arranging special screenings for who's who in Hollywood. One such interesting opportunity came up when Barrie Osborne, producer of Lord Of The Rings series, watched the movie. Barrie commented "I love Kamal's acting, writing and directing. I loved the integrity of the film. The story is surprising and exciting. It gets you right into the movie and then keeps you off-balance." Barrie was so impressed that he asked Kamal to write a script, direct and star in it. 

Vishwaroopam experiments Outside-In promotional approach

Typically, Indian movies such as Lagaan go to international markets after collecting box office returns in local markets since it is prohibitively very expensive to lobby around to convince Hollywood critics and distinguished personalities to come and watch Indian movies. Interestingly, Kamal Haasan is taking an outside-in promotional approach given the universal theme of Vishwaroopam. So many of the ongoing promotions efforts have been primarily focused on creating positive word of mouth among international celebrities and media critics.
