Baahubali breaks Indian box office records

S.S. Rajamouli's Visual Extravaganza 'Baahubali' has taken Indian Box Office by storm. The movie which released yesterday in around 4000+ screens worldwide, had opened up to positive reviews from critics and fans. The movie has made a record breaking collection of 66 crores on its opening day worldwide.

Record Breaking Collection from INDIA

In India, the movie had collected a record breaking Rs. 50 crores from all the versions of Baahubali (Telugu, Hindi and Tamil). This is the highest ever collection for any Indian movie on Day 1. The Hindi version of the movie alone has collected Rs. 5 crores in India, which is highest ever for a dubbed movie in Hindi. 

Premiere Record in USA

Baahubali records a gross of $1,382,076 from 137 screens. This is the first time for a south Indian movie to cross $1 Million mark from the premiere shows alone. 

Box Office Break-up 

India: Rs. 50 cr

Overseas: Rs. 16 cr

Total: Rs. 66 cr

With the encouraging positive reviews and good word of mouth, one can expect that Baahubali will fetch a quick 100 crores mark at the Box Office.
