Vaalu and Maari to release on same date?

It is official now that Simbu's long due Vaalu is all set to release on July 17. After a series of troubles that endlessly postponed the movie's release, the decks are now cleared for its release through Chimbu Cine Arts. As it known that Dhanush and Simbu share a good rapport, it is to be seen if Dhanush and team will stick to their originally planned release date (July 17), or leave way for Simbu to enjoy a solo opening.

Vaalu starring Simbu, Hansika and Santhanam in the lead roles is directed by Vijay Chander. Music is by Thaman. The movie is produced by Nic Arts.

Maari starring Dhanush and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles is directed by Balaji Mohan. Music is by Anirudh. The movie is jointly produced by Dhanush's WunderBar Films and  Radhika's Magic Frames.
