Ok Kanmani to release on Tamil New Year?

Mani Ratnam's Okay Kanmani is an urban love story that stars Dulquer Salman and Nithiya Menon in the lead roles. The First look poster of the film was released on February 14. The film is slated for release in April

Director Maniratnam is keen on releasing the film on April 14 as there is another special reason for choosing that date. His film "Alaipayuthey" starring Madhavan and Shalini released on the same day in 2000. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the film Alaipayuthey, Madras Talkies is planning to release its upcoming film OK Kanmani also on the same date.

The movie also stars Praksh Raj in a pivotal role. Kanika of 'Varalaru' fame will be seen in a cameo role in the movie. Music is scored by A.R. Rahman. Apart from Okay Kanmani, Kamal Hassan Uttama Villan, Karthi's 'Komban' and Udhaynidhi stalin's 'Nanbenda' are also expected to release in April.
