High court dismisses Lingaa plagiarism charges


The Madurai Bench of Madras High Court has dismissed the plagiarism charges against Lingaa. Earlier, a petitioner named K.R Ravi Rathinam had filed a case at the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court that Lingaa team had stolen his script Mullai Vanam 999. However, after the hearings, The Madurai bench of Madras High Court had dismissed the case. This becomes a huge relief for the makers, with only few days left for the release. Now the film is out of legal trouble.

 

The movie starring  Rajinikanth, Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka in the lead roles is directed by KS RaviKumar. The movie is set to hit the screens on December 12. AR Rahman has scored the music. The movie is produced by Rockline Venkatesh.
