“Please note that the appeals viz., AS Nos. 374 & 375/2014 filed by Mr.Gopi as against the order dated 25/09/2014 passed by the XIII Assistant City Civil Court dismissing O.S.No. 2155/2014 filed by Mr.Gopi to injunction the production/ release of the film KATHI came for arguments before the XVII Additional City Civil Court today i.e. 11/11/2014. When the matter was taken up for hearing, rather than arguing the matter, Mr.Gopi appeared in person along with his counsel and withdrew the appeals filed by him. It was then pointed out on our behalf that Mr.Gopi has indulged in frivolous and vexatious litigation and that Mr.Gopi will have to be directed to pay cost for indulging in frivolous and vexatious litigation. The learned XVII Additional City Civil Court Judge upon hearing our arguments dismissed the appeals filed by Mr.Gopi today as withdrawn and has further directed Mr.Gopi to pay Rs.1,000/- as cost to legal aid.”
