MovieCrow Box Office Report - November 7 to 9

Finally, last weekend saw couple of notable releases, namely, Oru Oorla Rendu Raja and Jaihind 2, which grabbed some screens from Kaththi and Poojai. Check out the box office rankings of Tamil movies during last weekend in Chennai.

1. Kaththi

Kaththi was still holding on to No.1 position, as majority of multiplexes continued to screen the film at their biggest screens. The plagiarism issue has been keeping the buzz for the film alive.

2. Oru Oorla Rendu Raja

Director Kannan seems to have failed at coming up with an engaging screenplay yet again, as the critics blame him in the underwhelming reviews. However, Priya Anand has been getting rave accolades for her sensilble and bold performance.

3. Jaihind 2

Although the action sequences involving Arjun are impressive, the movie hasn't gone down well with the audience, due to the outdated treatment.

Other Movies

Poojai slipped down the rankings, due to the arrival of new films, while Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe almost vanished from all the screens.

Upcoming week's releases

Dinesh's Thirudan Police and newcomer Vi Anand's sci-fi film Appuchi Gramam will be hitting the screens on November 14.
