Nanban and Vettai Overseas Box Office

Nanban had an impressive run in the UK making £188,043, well exceeding the collections made by 7aum Arivu, Velayudham(£153,000) and Mankatha(£172,000). Nanban is now gunning for the 3rd highest grosser in the UK market, Dasavatharam, which made £246,692 during its total run. 

Meanwhile, Vettai's run was impressive in the US touching $150,000. Thanks to UTV's wide release strategy. Usually, similar scale movies are released in less than 10 centers. But, UTV made a big push to go for 33 prints in the US which resulted in lower per screen average. But, helped in penetrating new markets.

UNITED KINGDOM:

NANBAN : In its second weekend, the film has collected £30,873 on 13 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 2,375. Total: £188,043 [approx. Rs. 1.47 crores].

VETTAI : In its second weekend, the film has collected £ 4,575 on 3 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,525. Total: £33,192 [approx. Rs. 25.89 lacs].

AUSTRALIA

NANBAN : In its second weekend, the film has collected A$ 10,001 on 7 screens, with the per screen average working out to A$ 1,429. Total: A$ 1,06,140 [approx. Rs. 56 lacs]. Includes Monday figures. 

UNITED STATES

NANBAN is estimated to have crossed $300,000 from US and Canada inching closer to Mankatha and 7aum Arivu. The exact numbers are not currently available due to data entry snag in the North America BO tracking system for Nanban.

VETTAI in its second weekend, the film has collected $ 34,397 on 21 screens, with the per screen average working out to $ 1,638. Total of $148,938 [approx. Rs. 74.57 lacs].
