MovieCrow Box Office Report - October 31 to November 2

Vijay's Kaththi and Vishal's Poojai continued to rule the Chennai box office last weekend, as there was no real competition for them. Check out the box office rankings of Tamil movies during last weekend.

1.Kaththi

Vijay's Kaththi has been going steady at the multiplexes, thanks to the strong social message conveyed in the film. Vijay has been getting rave accolades for breaking his stereotypical image.

2. Poojai

Vishal's Poojai was benefited due to lack of quality new releases and the movie had decent occupancy levels, in spite of the scathing reviews. Hari's monotonous and predictable screenplay let down the film.

Other Movies

Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe received mixed reviews, but the footfall to the film was poor, due to lack of star power. A lesser known film Kalkandu was also released, but it went completely unnoticed.

Upcoming week's releases

Kannan's Oru Oorla Rendu Raja and Arjun's Jaihind 2 will be releasing this weekend, and the expectations on these films are fairly low.
