12 more days to Nanban... Posters with theatre listings have started to come out as the business of Nanban is in the last stages of being finalized. As of today, Nanban distribution rights are still being negotiated in key places like NAC (North Arcot Chengelpet) and Coimbatore. One of the distributors under the condition of anonymity mentioned that the ask price for Vijay and Shankar's stronghold NAC is 10 Crores and Coimbatore is 7 Crores with overall target of over 50 Crores for all of Tamil Nadu. The contracts are expected to close within the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, Vettai sales are happening briskly due to lower production costs. Vettai is expected to do business of between 20 Crores to 25 Crores for Tamil Nadu. 

Earlier, 7aum Arivu was sold for 7 Crores in Coimbatore. 7aum Arivu's nett collections (after deducting entertainment tax) fell short of invested amount for distributors. This is one of the reasons for the resistance. More details about other reasons for distributors' cautiousness tomorrow...
