Tamil Padam director Amudhan pens lyrics for Anegan

Dhanush's Anegan, one of the most awaited films this year directed by KV Anand, is in the verge of completion. 

On the musical front, Harris Jayaraj and KV Anand have roped in CS Amudhan of Tamil Padam and Rendavathu Padam fame as the lyricist for a song. The song is a peppy number and this is the first time Amudhan has penned the lyrics for a full fledged Tamil song. Earlier he had penned the Maddy Maddy song from Minnale for Harris Jayaraj which was entirely in English.

The song focuses on IT youngsters who want to take a break off from work and have fun. The song starts with the lines "Podhumda Saamy, Nine To Five Porattam, Kaanjupona Chedikku, Thevai Neraiya Neerottam." 

The album has totally five songs. Bhavaratharani had a crooned a duet track "Aathaadi" in Anegan along with Dhanush. Vairamuthu had penned the lyrics for this song. Shankar Mahadevan has also recorded for a track in "Anegan" after 8 years.

Dhanush and Amyra Dastur play the lead roles in Anegan. 'Navarasa Nayagan' Karthik plays a pivotal role. Dhanush has sported different looks for his role in the movie. The big budget extravaganza is produced by AGS.
