Eros International confirms Kochadaiiyaan release date

Eros International has issued a press release, which confirms that Kochadaiiyaan will be hitting the screens on May 23.

Kochadaiiyaan starring Rajinikanth, Deepika, Sarathkumar, Aathi, Jackie Shroff, Nasser, Shobana, Rukmini with music by AR Rahman written by KS Ravikumar, directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin and being produced in 6 Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, and Bhojpuri) in addition to English is being released in 2D as well as 3D versions all over the world. All post production work has been completed and the film is censored in all the 6 languages in 2D & 3D versions. The film is now ready for delivery and is releasing on 23rd may 2014.

Earlier, rendering of 3D versions took longer than anticipated, was the main reason for rescheduling the release of the film. Besides, there was a sudden demand for additional 2000 screens, all over the world, just 2 days before release after seeing the extraordinary response for the advance booking world over (1,25,000 tickets were sold in just 2 hours in Chennai city only), To avoid any last-minute delay on the screening material reaching theaters world-over, the decision was taken to reschedule the film to 23rd May 2014.
