Suriya's Karuppu is holding steady at the box office despite the expected weekday dip, crossing Rs 80 crore in Tamil Nadu alone in its first five days. The film's India net collections stand at Rs 95.05 crore while the worldwide gross has surpassed Rs 160 crore. At this pace, a Rs 200 crore worldwide total looks well within reach, with the Tamil Nadu figure set to enter the Rs 100 crore club shortly.

The film opened to a strong Rs 68 crore across India over its first weekend, buoyed by positive word of mouth around Suriya's performance as a lawyer-turned-deity and RJ Balaji's engaging direction. Monday saw the first weekday correction with Rs 15 crore in earnings, a near 50 per cent drop from Sunday, followed by Rs 12.75 crore on Tuesday. Total India gross stands at Rs 110.04 crore so far.
