The shoot of Arasan, directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Silambarasan TR, has been temporarily halted following a financial dispute between the actor and producer Ishari K. Ganesh.

Reports suggest that STR had earlier agreed to return the ₹5 crore advance he received for Corona Kumar, a shelved project backed by Ishari Ganesh. However, the producer demanded ₹7.5 crore, citing losses incurred during pre-production.

The issue was taken up by industry bodies, including the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) and FEFSI, along with Arasan producer Kalaippuli S. Thanu. Following discussions, it has been decided that STR must pay ₹7.5 crore for the shoot of Arasan to resume.
