Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil (TTT) is a Tamil political satire film starring actor Jiiva in the lead, and the movie released in theaters on January 15, 2026 (Thursday) marking the Pongal holiday weekend. TTT had a five-day opening as a result, and the film has managed to gross Rs. 16 Cr. in Tamil Nadu alone in its opening weekend.  

Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil witnessed packed houses across the state, with the Pongal holidays translating into sustained footfalls through the weekend. With word-of-mouth turning increasingly positive, TTT looks well-poised for a rock-solid run in the days ahead.

Written by Sanjo Joseph, Nithish Sahadev, and Anuraj O. B, and directed by Nithish Sahadev, TTT is produced by Kannan Ravi Productions. The film follows the story of local panchayat leader Jeevarathnam (Jiiva) who is forced to navigate the clash between a joyous village wedding, and a sudden funeral next door, as it threatens to tear his voter base apart, and hinder his desired outcome in the upcoming elections.
