Idli Kadai climbed to the 2 spot on Netflix’s global trending list soon after release, thanks to strong social media support and the viral hashtag  Idli Kadai.

The film features Dhanush, Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Sathyaraj, and others in important roles. Though the movie had a mixed theatrical run with ₹58.7 crore in India and became the 10th highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025, it gained fresh attention and love after its digital release.
