Jilla has been trimmed

Amid huge expectations, Jilla starring Vijay, Mohanlal and Kajal Agarwal hit the screens on January 10 as a Pongal treat for Vijay fans. The film has got a good opening thanks to the festive season. It received positive to mixed reviews from the audience. 

Based on the feedback from audience that the film is very lengthy, the makers have trimmed the film by 10 minutes. Yeppa Mama treatu song has been removed from the film. The running time of the film will be 2hrs 45 mins. The trimmed version was screened on all digital screens since Friday night. 

The makers had removed the song Yeppa Mama treatu which appears just before the climax fight sequence as many felt it hinders the speed of the film. Vijay fans have been disappointed that the song has been removed and have been demanding to re-insert the song. The makers are now contemplating on adding the song back.

The film is directed by Neason and has music by Imman. Jilla is produced by RB Choudary.
