Gautham Ram Karthik's Root Shoot Wrapped Up

The sci-fi crime thriller “Root” starring Gautham Ram Karthik has finished shooting in early November 2025. The film is directed by Sooriyaprathap S and produced by Verus Productions. It also stars Aparshakti Khurana (in his Tamil debut), Bhavya Trikha, and Y Gee Mahendran.

Titled “Root – Running Out of Time,” the movie features Gautham as a police officer. The music is by Vithushanan, cinematography by Arjun Raja, and action by Miracle Michael. Major scenes were filmed in Chennai and nearby locations.

The film is now in post-production, and the release date will be announced soon. “Root” aims to bring a fresh mix of sci-fi and crime to Tamil cinema.
