Sri Lakshmi Movies produced Madharaasi starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, released in theaters on September 5, 2025 and marked director AR Murugadoss' comeback in Tamil after a gap of five years. Within the first two days of the film's release, Madharaasi had grossed a whopping Rs 50 Cr. in worldwide box-office collections. 

Now after 10 days of theatrical run, Madharaasi has crossed the Rs. 50 Cr+ mark at the Tamil Nadu box-office. This is despite a slow second weekend, and a significant drop in the Madharaasi box-office from its opening weekend. 

With limited competition until the next big festival release, Madharaasi is expected to add steady numbers in the coming days, though sustaining momentum over weekdays will be crucial for the film in Tamil Nadu.

With Rukmini Vasanth playing female lead, and Biju Menon, Vikranth, Vidyut Jammwal, Shabeer Kallarakkal, among others in its supporting cast, Madharaasi has Anirudh Ravichander for music, and Kevin Kumar for action.
