Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi, directed by AR Murugadoss, has taken off to a flying start at the overseas box office. The film has grossed £50,000+ (Rs. 59. 56 lakhs) on day 1 in the UK and Ireland, confirmed an official announcement from Madharaasi's UK distributor Ahimsa Entertainment. 

Madharaasi's solid overseas debut reflects the anticipation surrounding the collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Murugadoss, coming on the heels of the actor’s blockbuster Amaran. The film is expected to maintain this momentum through the weekend.

Produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies, Madharaasi also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Vikranth, Shabeer Kallarakkal among others. The film has Anirudh Ravichander for music.
