With four days left for the grand theatrical release of Superstar Rajinikanth's Coolie on August 14, 2025, Sun Pictures has now unveiled the 'Coolie Unleashed' event, that marked the audio, trailer launch of Coolie movie, as well as a mini celebration of Rajini's 50 years in the cine industry. 

While the Coolie Unleashed event is set to air on Sun TV at 6: 30 PM this evening, a 45-minute preview of the same was made available to stream on the Sun Nxt OTT platform at 10 AM.  The 45-minute preview gives a glimpse into the speeches of actors Shruthi Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, legendary veteran filmmaker SP Muthuraman, and live performances of Powerhouse and Monica song from the Coolie album. 

The Coolie Unleashed event was held last Saturday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Its air date to the public coincides with the 2 year anniversary of Sun Pictures and Rajinikanth's last blockbuster collaboration—the Nelson Dilipkumar directed Jailer (2023).

Coolie marks the maiden collaboration between Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie also stars Aamir Khan, Upendra, Pooja Hegde in a cameo, among others.
