Coolie: Rajinikanth's A-Rated Film Faces Entry Restrictions; Age Proof Mandatory at TN Multiplexes

Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is an ‘A’ censored movie that is releasing worldwide on August 14, 2025. With the 'Adults Only' certificate issued by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India, several multiplexes across Tamil Nadu have begun implementing strict age restrictions ahead of Coolie’s release.

Multiplex chains like PVR, INOX, and AGS Cinemas have announced that anyone below 18 years of age will not be allowed entry into a Coolie screening, and that ticket holders must carry mandatory age proof of being 18+. PVR-INOX has also specifically announced 'not to bring kids/children' to the Coolie screening.

A Sun Pictures production, Coolie also releases in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages.
