Sun Pictures has now officially announced that the first single from Rajinikanth starrer Coolie is titled Chikitu, and the song composed by Anirudh Ravichander will release on June 25, 2025 (Wednesday) at 6 PM in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.

A promo video was unveiled on Monday to announce the Coolie first single release date, and it featured appearances by Anirudh and choreographer Sandy. Anirudh is said to be making a dance cameo in Chikitu alongside Rajinikanth.  

Chikitu has lyrics by rapper Arivu, and vocals by T Rajhendherr, Arivu, Anirudh Ravichander, and Ajay Krishna. It is an upbeat dance number with choreography by Master Sandy, and a teaser of the song unveiled last year on Rajinikanth's birthday can be seen here:

Coolie is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is scheduled to hit theater screens on August 14, 2025.
