Dragon starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead is an AGS Entertainment produced Tamil movie that released in theaters on February 21, 2025. A coming-of-age story, where the hero starts off as a thug college student with no interest in passing examinations, Dragon is semi-autobiographical from film's writer, director Ashwath Marimuthu (Ashwath Marimuthu and Pradeep Ranganathan are former college mates in real life, and Dragon's story is jointly written by the two). 

In lieu of Dragon's release, and the film doing well in cinemas, Ashwath Marimuthu on Sunday took to his socials to reveal the real 'Chitra', and 'Dhanapal', played by actors Indhumathy and George Maryan in the movie. Director Ashwath who has previously confessed to the characters being based on his real-life parents, shared clicks with the two, revealing their faces.

George Maryan and Indumathy play extremely supportive and naïve parents to Pradeep Ranganathan in Dragon movie. Indumathy's character has voice-over by actress turned first-time dubbing artiste, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan.
