Today marks 29 days since the release of Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran in theaters, and originally the movie was supposed to make its digital premiere on Netflix today i.e. November 28, 2024. However by week 2 of its theatrical run, it was evident that there was no stopping the footfalls for Amaran in Tamil Nadu, and the screen owners appealed to the makers to delay the digital release of Amaran.
In probably what is a first for a Tamil movie, Amaran's OTT release on Netflix got pushed beyond the 28 day mark, just because it was doing well in theaters. The streaming platform decided to premiere the Sivakarthikeyan starrer a week later, and now it has been revealed that Amaran's OTT release date is December 5, 2024 (Thursday).

Actors Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi play Mukund and his surviving wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese, in the film with a runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes.
