Sivakarthikeyan starrer Amaran, a biopic on late Indian Army Major Mukund Varadarajan AC (P), released in theaters on October 31, 2024. The movie in its first 5 days of theatrical run has crossed the $1M mark (Rs. 8.41 Cr.) at the North American box-office. Prime Media, distributor of Amaran in USA and Canada officially announced the same at the end of day 5 of Amaran's release.

Amaran's $1M North America gross is a first for actor Sivakarthikeyan. In its opening weekend, Amaran had grossed $972,575 (Rs. 8.18 Cr.) in North America, debuting at No: 7 among other Indian and International movie releases in the region. 

Written and directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, Amaran also stars Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, Bhuvan Arora among others. The movie has GV Prakash for music, and is a production venture of Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures International Production.
