Actress Sai Pallavi's hometown Nilgiris has paid top respect to Major Mukund Varadarajan AC (P), in lieu of his biopic movie Amaran's run in theaters. Amaran written and directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, and Sai Pallavi as Mukund Varadarajan's wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese. 

While the Kamal Haasan produced movie is an authentic Indian Army movie to come out of Tamil cinema in the longest time, Mukund Varadarajan's story has left a lot of viewers emotional/teary-eyed. The most emotional outcome of watching the film was recently witnessed at a theater in Nilgiris, where the audience gathered to light candles in memory of Major Mukund, and also honour him with flower petals.

Amaran produced by Raaj Kamal Films International is currently in day 5 of its theatrical run. The movie with GV Prakash for music has touched filmgoers beyond language, especially since it is an ode to the servicemen of this country. Some more remnants of the same online:
