Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rana Daggubati, Kishore, Abhirami, Rohini among others is all set to release in theaters worldwide from October 10, 2024. Tentkotta is releasing Vettaiyan in USA, and given that US is one of Rajinikanth's strongest markets, anticipation surrounding the release is keeping both fans and distributors on their toes. 

Celebratory events aside, the X microblogging platform started showing up with complaints of Vettaiyan not releasing or even having premiere shows in desired screens of USA. Tentkotta founder Varun has been spotted addressing the claims head on, and here's how that went: 

Which Tamil movie released there previously? I don't see Jailer, Leo or PS1 released there.

We played Indian 2 it collected only $1200 for the entire week. That is less than 100 audience which will not cover our expenses. Jailer didn't release in that location

There appears to be a lot of controversy going on regarding the #Vettaiyan movie release in the USA theaters. I can speak for my state, and I can confirm that the Vettaiyan premiere show release is worse than the Annaatthe premiere shows in my state.

A Lyca Productions venture, Vettaiyan is written and directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim (2021) fame. Vettaiyan is TJ Gnanavel's second theatrical release after Kootathil Oruthan (2017). The cop drama has Anirudh Ravinchander for music, SR Kathir for cinematography, and Philomin Raj for edits.
